HM Queen Elizabeth II

It is with great sadness that Burnham Parish Council has learned of the death of HM Queen Elizabeth II. We send our deepest condolences to the Royal Family on behalf of the residents of Burnham.
As a mark of respect, a Union Jack will be flown at half-mast outside the Council Offices for the period of mourning.
We have opened a Book of Condolence at Burnham Park Hall for members of the public to share their thoughts. It will be available 09.00 – 18.00 hrs, Monday – Friday until 17.00 hrs on the day of the funeral.
Residents of Burnham are invited to lay flowers around the Memorial outside Burnham Park Hall. It is requested all cellophane is removed when the flowers are placed. The flowers will be removed on the morning following the State Funeral by the Chairman to BPC removing the first bouquet and placing it on the back of the council vehicle. This will be followed by other representative Councillors and members of the public gathered. The flowers will be removed for composting and the compost used to plant a commemorative tree within the Parish grounds.
An all Denominations Service will be held in St Peters Church on the eve of the funeral at 19th September 2022. Residents of Burnham are invited to attend the service.
